The Art of Translation: Getting Tech and Marketing on the Same (Web)Page

Monday, Oct 14 4:00 - 4:45

Presented by Kate Post and Anna Harris

KPIs and ROI. HTML and CSS. It’s like your marketing teams and your tech teams aren’t even speaking the same language. This language barrier often results in lost-in-translation moments and territorialism, with user experience and visual impact ultimately suffering the consequences.

In this presentation, you will learn to diffuse these tensions and become interpreters who understand downstream implications of both communications and technical decisions. This session will walk you through an innovative partnership between University Communications and Web Services that has changed the way the California State University, Chico approaches online communication. We will cover how to set up collaborative workflow with your counterparts, develop best practices documents, and launch successful projects as one team.
