Meet us in Milwaukee!

Milwaukee Weather

  • Milwaukee in October tends to be mild-to-cool.
  • Average high temperatures are in the mid-to-upper 60s, average lows in the upper-40s.
  • Milwaukee falls tend to be crisp, dry and really lovely to see. We should be visiting the area just as the trees really hit some strong fall color!
  • We’ll update as we get closer with more specifics about how MKE will look and feel during our time in Wisconsin.

Conference and Event Attire

As you prep your suitcase for #heweb19, know that dress at the conference is business casual – with a strong emphasis on the “casual.” Jeans, tees, khakis and comfy kicks are common, too, both during the conference sessions and at evening events.

Remember, session rooms can be chilly, so you may want to throw in a sweater for daytime wear.

Check-in/Registration

Registration hours
Sunday, Oct. 13: 11 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
Monday, Oct. 14: 7 a.m. – noon

Your first stop at HighEdWeb 2019 should be the registration desk in Wisconsin Center 102 Foyer. Check in to grab your conference badge, the important info you need, and your conference gifts/swag.

Note: For Annual Conference attendees registered for one of the Academies (Leadership, Content/UX, or Technical): Report to the Wright Ballroom Foyer on the Hilton’s fourth floor between 8:30-9 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 12, to check in to your Academy. Academy planners will coordinate your Annual Conference check-in there.

ID Badge/Lanyard

When you check in at the registration desk, you will receive your conference ID badge. Your ID badge must be worn at all presentation sessions, meals, and all conference after-hour events. Your badge is your golden ticket of admission to all the fun, as well as your Conference program and your source for lots of critical information — so be sure to keep it handy!

From the planning committee to the programming team to the on-site staff, the Annual Conference happens because amazing pros like you share their time and talents. Awesome, right? We agree, and we’d love you to be a part of making HighEdWeb 2019 come to life!

Join our Volunteer Corps and give an hour or two of time in Milwaukee to help with things like setup, registration check-in or helping others find their way around the conference. Help make #heweb19 happen: volunteer!

Workshops

Pre-conference workshops begin at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 13, in the Wisconsin Center. Allow time on Sunday to check in at the registration desk before your workshop. (Note there are generally some lines during this busy period).

Lunch will be provided at noon on Sunday in the Hilton’s Crystal Ballroom for all pre-conference workshop attendees and HighEdWeb conference presenters.

Post-conference workshops begin at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 16, in the Wisconsin Center.

If you would like to add an available pre- or post-conference workshop to your conference experience, use the link in your registration email or add on and pay for the workshop at the registration desk.
