One Does Not Simply Walk Into A Migration: Building a Content Fellowship
Monday, Oct 14 2:45 - 3:30
Presented by Jeff StevensLast year at the conference in Hartford, I briefly discussed the ways a content strategist can act as a sidekick to the heroes across your organization – the content administrators that make day to day decisions that affect your institution’s appearance and usefulness. In 2019, those tools were put to the test as we shepherded our organization through a massive theme redesign, affecting over 600 websites and 1600 content administrators. Through training, education, guidance, and governance, our team guided them through the process, while dealing with major changes to the CMS, staff shortages, and changing strategic priorities. We’ll discuss how our models changed, what lessons we learned, and how you can build a support model that is sustainable and helps to create iterative, continual improvement.
