Promoting Author Experience: The Key to a Successful CMS Switch
Monday, Oct 14 4:00 - 4:45
Presented by Briana Johnson“Why are we changing again? In the last two years, we’ve upgraded our CMS, LMS, CRM, and ERP. We’re beta-testing a newer LMS. We’ve eliminated positions due to state-wide budget cuts, and there’s rumors of departmental restructuring. I don’t have time to learn a new CMS.”
Sound familiar? Hear from a one-woman web team who has convinced decentralized content authors to not only tolerate a CMS switch, but actively participate and enjoy it.
In this session, you will learn how to get people you don’t manage to buy-in to change and how to use diplomacy to identify stakeholder priorities, plan for shortcomings and communicate delays without discouraging authors.
