Simplified Accessibility Guidelines for HighEd Content Contributors

Monday, Oct 14 2:45 - 3:30

Presented by Norma Stary

It’s relatively easy to find technical information about web accessibility for developers, but it can be a challenge to find guidance specifically for content contributors—especially those who have limited technical skills. This is a particular challenge in higher education, where website managers may be responsible for the training and oversight of dozens—or even hundreds—of contributors who add text, links, images, and graphics to thousands of pages across a site or sites.

Learn how WCAG 2.0 can be simplified to 12 success criteria for non-technical content contributors, how to evaluate compliance on your website, and how to get a jump start on training (or re-training) based on your findings.
