In review: how HighEdWeb helped advance higher ed.

Attendees in session at regional conference

On Nov. 1, 2024, HighEdWeb legally changed its name to Digital Collegium. Our mission remains to educate digital professionals who work at higher education institutions. We provide educational materials and opportunities that develop knowledge, skills and abilities. As a result, we advance higher education.

Our approach

With a focus on the digital issues facing colleges and universities, we help your school achieve its goals with:

Professional development

We provide opportunities to learn and grow through in-person conferences, online summits and our Professional Development Library.

Community

We offer various ways to connect with others through our Slack workspace, community group discussions and networking events.

Access for all

Regardless of where you work in higher education — IT, marketing, admissions, advancement or academics — we welcome you and offer resources and opportunities that benefit your institutions.

Our values

Our core values provide the foundation for how Digital Collegium operates.

Trustworthy

We are ethical in our decision-making. We strive for transparency in our actions.

Open

We embrace open access to knowledge and resources. We value and respect the contributions and feedback of our members. We seek diversity and promote inclusion.

Collaborative

We encourage collaboration over competitiveness. We foster a culture of service within the organization.

New initiatives

Digital Collegium continually seeks to grow and improve the resources and opportunities we offer. In 2024, the board approved a strategic plan to guide the association through 2026.

In 2024, the association achieved the following milestones with its strategic priorities:

Grow and support the higher ed digital community

Launched a refreshed brand by establishing the Digital Collegium brand identity, positioning, messaging and guidelines.

Formalized diversity recruitment processes as part of the call for proposals

Advance higher education

Held two regional conferences in alignment with the Educational Events Model.

Increase organizational resiliency

Developed and launched a Corporate Partner Program providing for multi-levels of partnership and secured nine corporate partners.

Conducted a risk assessment to identify the organization’s top three risks and developed a plan to address the highest priority risk in 2025.

Leadership

  • As we move the association from the HighEdWeb we all knew, it’s important to remember what hasn’t changed — we are a community of sharers, of selfless volunteers, all working to move higher education forward.
We are stronger for all of our members and excited as we move further into this next chapter.
